Photographer Highlight: Michael Kelley

In effort to post more on the blog, I have decided to share photographers that has caught my eye.

This week I came across Michael Kelley. Kelley specialises in architectural photography, but also has interests in interior and aviation photography. What I especially liked about Kelley's photographs is his ability to blend nature and architecture together,

Creating a final image of simultaneous beauty.

As well as architectural photography, Kelley also shoots interiors, he recently did a shoot for BluHomes which made the cover of 805 Living. Kelley clearly demonstrates his skill of using speed lights and photoshop to fully display the charm and style of homes to its full potential.

If only I could live in a house like this! Kelley I'm sold!

Kelley also has an interest in aviation photography, one of his popular photographs is of which he photographed numerous planes taking off and compiled all the separate images together to create a a single image of around seventy planes.

The photograph reminds me of childhood; when I used visit the airport, and I would beg my father to let me see the planes. I would eagerly sit by the window and watch the planes take off one by one, wondering how such big machines were able to just take off and fly so effortlessly.

Kelley is a great photographer and an inspiration to me and many aspiring photographers. You can find more about him on his website, on purephoto and on fstoppers.

Blessed with the sunshine

Last week, I had the pleasure of shooting with Toni, an aspiring model and architecture student. The weather was so sweet! The sun was shining like it was the middle of summer! A photographer's dream (if all you have is an 18-55mm lens and no extra equipment!)

We shot three different outfits, in three different locations (well I say three, it was literally just a minute away from each other). We took so many amazing photographs, I had to be strict with myself to chose just a few.

Toni was an absolute dream to work with! Definitely one to watch!

I want to live simply...

Currently feeling...

A stroll in the park...

I met up with a close friend of mine at Hampstead Heath Park with the intention of going for a run. As soon as we met, with one look we both knew that wasn't going to happen! (The intention was there though, we dressed in our running gear!) So we went for a walk instead. Hampstead Heath is gorgeous, and I wish we had more time to explore the park. There are so many lakes and ponds, you can even go swimming in one! There's a lovely view of the city of London, and lots of little pathways to explore and get lost in.

Our walk, plus the many attempts of jumping it took to take this picture, made us a little hungry. We found this cafe full of delicious treats.

It took a while for us decide what to get, they all looked so yummy!

I settled for the cherry and almond cake.

Seddy, settled for a caramel nut tart.

Totally jealous of Seddy's caramel nut tart! It tasted so good! My cake was a little dry! I still finished it though, I can't say no to cake!
